Dovecote View is a family-owned, family-orientated, private residential care home for the elderly. We provide personal care and support for up to 31 residents, and pride ourselves in providing high quality care. We promote person-centred care, and take into account each individual's preferences, likes and dislikes. Our aim is to keep you as happy and healthy as possible.

We are able to cater to residents with short term memory loss and the early stages of Dementia, and pride ourselves in maintaining our Resident's independence and well-being, by catering an individualised care package around those suffering from memory loss. We have daily activities, morning and afternoons, and we like to ensure that we engage our residents within the activities and also promote involvement in Outings.

We are not a nursing home, but any Nursing needs can be met by the visiting Community Nurses. We are also very local to all the GP Surgeries in Chichester, so you will able to pick which Surgery you want to register with or stay registered with. We have regular visiting Chiropody, Hairdressing and Opticians. We will also help you attend any appointments at the Outpatients department at our local Hospital, St Richard's, for any specific needs you have.

We can also provide Palliative Care for those who wish to end their days with us here at Dovecote View. We believe Dovecote View is one big family, and most importantly, your home, so why not end your days in your own home? We are able to cater to your needs at such an important time in your life, and we will treat you and your requests with dignity, respect and privacy. We will endeavour to keep you comfortable, and we want to help you with as much sensitivity and kindness as possible.

We are like one big family here at Dovecote View, and our Staff are our greatest asset. Each member of staff has a vital role to play in supporting each resident, and our staff are recruited for their caring natures and their passion for their role. We will get to know you and your extended family, and will keep your relatives/next of kin involved as much as possible in your life here at Dovecote View.

Talisa, our Registered Home Manager, has worked at Dovecote View for over 10 years, and has been Manager for over 6 years. She is passionate about providing the best care possible, and believes if it's not good enough for her own Mum or Gran, then it's not good enough for anybody else's! She is also passionate about living life to the full, and wants the Home to be buzzing with laughter, activities, and visitors. As well as the Day to Day running of the Home and ensuring the quality of care is always maintained, Talisa can often be seen helping residents and staff, and is not afraid to "roll up her sleeves" and get stuck in with caring.

Many of our staff have worked for Dovecote View for a number of years, and this allows for continuity of care. Our Staff are compassionate, knowledgable, and above all, caring. We will not only care for you or your loved one but will also become like friends, and you will hear a lot of laughter around the Home. Our staff want to know about your life history, want to know your preferences, but most importantly, want to know you and your family.

Carol, our Staff Mentor, has been with us for over a decade, so is able to mentor our newer staff with her vast knowledge of the Home, and about the high standards we expect. All our Staff receive continuous training throughout their employment with Dovecote View, and the majority of our staff are Level 2 qualified or above in Health and Social Care. Training includes Dementia Awareness, Administering Medications, Health and Safety, Infection Control and Safeguarding, amongst many others.

Our Housekeeping Team ensure that our facilities are always maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. We regularly re-decorate the Home, and ensure all the facilities are maintained to the highest possible standards. Our Housekeepers are always on hand, not only will they spring clean your room, but they are able to answer any queries you may have.

Our facilities include free Wi-fi, freeview TV in every room, and on-site laundry. Private telephone lines in bedrooms can be arranged, depending on individual preferences.
